| The Andrew Davis Partnership was established in the summer of 1991. Prior to this, Andrew was a director of a major landscape and environmental consultancy in Birmingham. He was Senior Landscape Architect on the reclamation of the Liverpool International Garden Festival site and has a wide experience in reclamation of landfill gas sites. Andrew was the landscape advisor to Ecotec on their report for the Black Country Development Corporation, 'Strategy for Development'. He has prepared and co-ordinated a number of Environmental Statements, which have included a business park in an environmentally sensitive area and various golf courses. Other major projects Andrew has been involved with are the landscape co-ordination over a 10 year programme for the former British Rail Engineering Limited at Swindon, and Worcestershire Royal Hospital. Public inquiry work has included the preparation of visual assessments, landscape proposals and proofs of evidence for business parks, major road schemes, hospitals, caravan parks and various leisure projects. In recent years, Andrew has been involved in the detailed design and implementation of major complex improvements for the leisure industry which has included landscaping to hotels for Butlins. |
Simon Laws joined the Andrew Davis Partnership after graduating from Sheffield University in the summer of 1991. Before joining the Partnership, during a break in the course, he gained some valuable experience at Derek Latham & Company in Derby. He worked on a variety of landscape projects which varied in scope and scale from large road schemes and landfill sites to small scale environmental improvement schemes and historic sites. During his time with the Andrew Davis Partnership, Simon has worked on a range of landscape projects, from environmental assessments and leisure sites to hospitals, campus courtyards and canal sites. He currently has a diverse workload, overseeing the implementation of schemes of varying scale, but is essentially involved with design and build contract project co-ordination as part of multidisciplinary design teams. Simon was made a member of the Limited Liability Partnership in 2002. |
